Not every good game needs a long plan. In Snakes and Ladders, one roll can change a comfortable lead into a fresh chase. It is a natural choice for a relaxed session or a break between more demanding games.

One shared route

The board has one hundred squares arranged in a winding numbered path. Roll on your turn and your piece moves automatically by the number shown. There is no hand of cards or choice between different pieces.

Finish a move at the foot of a ladder and you climb to its top. Land on the head of a snake and you slide to its tail. What matters is where the move ends, not the squares you pass along the way.

Finishing the race

You must reach square 100 with an exact roll. From 97, a three wins the race. A roll that would take you beyond the finish is not enough. A six does not award an extra turn in Ryvo, so play moves on as usual.

The aim is to finish before the other players. The final stretch can change quickly, and even a comfortable leader still has to complete that last move.

Enjoy knowing the board

It helps to know which ladders and snakes are near you and your opponents. The table’s controls let you explore squares and read player positions without changing the dice result. Some ladder and snake positions differ between board versions, so use the board shown in your current match.

There is no trick here that guarantees the number you want. Much of the fun comes from sharing the wait for the dice and watching everyone’s journey change. Choose it when you want a game that takes only a moment to explain.
